The raw materials required for manufacture of PPC are OPC clinkers with 10 – 25 % of Pozzolanic material. The Pozzolanic material used are calcined clay (IS: 1489 part II of 1991) or fly ash (IS: 1489 part I of 1991).

The main stages of manufacturing Portland pozzalana cement are:-

Quarrying, dredging, digging.
Grinding
Blending
Fine grinding
Burning
Finish grinding.
