Watershed
An area of land that directs precipitation and snowmelt into streams and rivers, ultimately flowing into reservoirs, bays, or the ocean, is known as a watershed.
All of the precipitation-related water, whether from rain or snow, runoff in a drainage basin and drains out through a single outlet.
Varieties of Watersheds
Macro-Watershed: Big watersheds, such river basins, that span large geographic areas.
Micro-Watershed: Tinier regions, including those encompassing a lone farmland or a tiny creek.
Sub-watershed: A sub-watershed is a more focused area inside a larger watershed that is made up of a specific tributary or sub-region.
