Short notes on :
FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE:- It is a composite material essentially consisting of conventional concrete reinforced by the random dispersal of short, discrete and discontinuous fine fibers.
Great advantage of using this type of concrete is that it restricts the development of cracks.
POLYMER CONCRETE:- In this type of concrete the polymer replaces the cement- water matrix and the polymer binds the aggregate to give a strong composite mix. Done by three process: thermal catalytic reaction, catalyst promoter reaction and radiation. Polymer concrete have good potential as repair material and for overlays.
Advantages:-
Disadvantages:-
Product hard to manipulate with conventional tools such as drills and presses due to its density.
